2 Easy Homemade Hair Mask Recipes For Shiny Hair
Egg Hair Mask
Eggs, an excellent source of proteins, vitamins, and iron can be applied directly, or mixed with other herbs from the kitchen. It gives your hair a natural shine, adds bounce to your hair, promotes hair growth, and prevents hair loss.
To Make An Egg Hair Mask, You Need:
· Eggs (1 or 2, depending on hair length)
· Milk (1 cup)
· Lemon juice (Ratio 1:2 to egg)
· Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
Take a bowl; beat the eggs, add olive oil, and a fresh squeeze of lemon juice. Mix it well.
Note: If you have dry hair, use the egg yolks, for oily hair, only use the egg whites, and for normal hair, you can use the whole egg.
Cover your hands with gloves (to avoid the smell of eggs). Now, with your fingers or a hairbrush, massage the mixture into your scalp. Cover the entire length of your hair, from root to tip. To avoid staining your clothes with egg drippings, cover your head with a shower cap or scarf. Let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes. Then thoroughly rinse the mask out with warm water (not too hot). Give your hair a final wash with your regular shampoo or any herbal shampoo. Dry your hair. For best results, use the mask once a month.
Yogurt Hair Mask
Other than being an excellent source of vitamins, calcium, and protein, Yoghurt can also be used on hair. You can either apply it directly or use it in combination with other herbs to make a mask. It moisturises your hair, and makes them shiny and healthy.
To Make A Yogurt Hair Mask, You Need:
· Natural plain yogurt (1 cup)
· Honey (1 teaspoon)
· Apple cider vinegar (1 teaspoon, diluted in water)
Take a bowl; add yogurt, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Mix it well into a thick consistency. Before applying the hair mask, make sure that your hair is dry. Carefully apply the mixture on hair either with hands or with a hairbrush. Make sure that you cover the entire length of your hair, working from root to tip. To avoid staining your clothes, cover your head with a shower cap or scarf. Let the mask sit for 30 minutes. Then rinse the mask with warm water (not too hot). Give your hair a final wash with your regular shampoo. Dry your hair. For best results, use the mask once a week.
